Last Friday I went with the youth group to a concert at Pepsi Colisium in Indianapolis. For just $10, I got to see the Newsboys, TobyMac, Newsong, and a few other Christian artists. The Newsboys were simply amazing! They sprayed large amounts of confetti into the audience, the drummer had the rotating platform that allowed him to play up in the air and spinning sideways, and of course the 'Boys sang classics such as "Shine" and "Breakfast". There was even a guest appearance from Colts' punter Hunter Smith, who had the one-liner (paraphrased), "Unlike my team, the Newsboys are still playing in February." TobyMac was great too, though I wasn't familiar with many of his songs and he only sung one old-school dc Talk song. But overall, it was a great experience.
I got to talk with the Sauce on the phone last night. I'm glad things are going well on his end, and I hope sometime in the spring I can make the trip to his house, as well as Taylor. Tomorrow I'm going to IvyTech to take a test concerning a possible position at a local plant. So for me, things are looking up. |
